Flamingos

Flamingos, birds belonging to the family Phoenicopteridae, are my favorite animal of all time, and have been since 2020. Since 2020, I have begun collecting flamingo-related items, delving into research about them, and so on so forth. Whenever I'm out at stores, especially during the summer time, I'm always keeping an eye out for these pink birds, always looking for things to expand my ever-growing collection. While there are other animals I enjoy or love, none of them will ever come close to the flamingo.

Scientific Information

As of writing, there are 6 known species of flamingos still around today, including the Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus), the Lesser Flamingo (Phoeniconaias minor), the Chilean Flamingo (Phoenicopterus chilensis), the Andean Flamingo (Phoenicoparrus andinus), the James's Flamingo (Phoenicoparrus jamesi), and the Caribbean (or American) Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber).

Along with the 6 species known today, there are quite a few prehistoric and ancient species we know about, such as Elornis, Harrisonavis, and a variety of others.
